By working together, her suffering was relieved.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seeing the good result of their efforts, Maudgalyayana found peace for himself, and the sangha found delight in supporting him and relieving his and his mother\u2019s suffering. This is a powerful reminder of the importance of spiritual community, especially the monastic Sangha, in embodying the Buddha\u2019s teachings and supporting transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of this,&nbsp;<strong>Vu Lan is also an ideal time to honor our spiritual teachers<\/strong>&nbsp;with gratitude and generosity.&nbsp;<strong>Gifts to this Vu Lan fund<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>will directly support the 13 visiting monastics who are joining us<\/strong>&nbsp;from across the Midwest Sangha, including requisites and travel expenses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our combined generosity is an expression of gratitude for the gift of the Dharma and of care for the shared community we have with temples throughout the midwest.
