This Wednesday evening, August 28, 2024, we are happy to welcome a visiting monastic to Dinh Quang Buddhist Temple, the Venerable Thich Nu Gioi Huong. She is the founder and abbot of Huong Sen Temple in Perris City, California. She was <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cborn in 1963 in Binh Tuy, became a nun at the age of 15 with Venerable Hai Trieu Am. In 1994, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Saigon. She studied abroad in India for 10 years and graduated with a PhD in Buddhist Studies from Delhi University in 2003. In 2005, she settled in the United States. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Riverside University, California and is currently studying for a Master of Arts at the school and is a lecturer at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy, Ho Chi Minh City. She founded the Bao Anh Lac bookshelf, wrote and translated many works from English to Vietnamese, and released many Buddhist music CDs from 2004 to present. In 2000, she founded Huong Sen Temple, Binh Chanh, Saigon (Vietnam) and in 2010 – until now, she founded and is the abbot of Huong Sen Temple, Perris City, California, USA.\u201d (more info in Vietnamese at: https:\/\/huongsentemple.com\/index.php\/vn\/gioi-thieu<\/a> )<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
