Vesak,<\/strong>
the Great Buddha’s Birthday<\/strong>
on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 10 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vesak is the celebration of Sakyamuni Buddha, including his: birth, renunciation of worldly life, Enlightenment, teaching of the Dharma, and death and achievement of Parinirvana. In turn, it is also a celebration of Buddhist community, those who hear the Buddha\u2019s teachings and devote themselves to practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the focus is on the birth of Sakyamuni Buddha. Practicing his Noble Eightfold Path dispels resentment, sows seeds of peace, and transforms our habits of greed hatred, and delusion into a practice of wisdom and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope that you will take your precious time to come to the temple to practice together, hear the Dharma, celebrate with gratitude, and eat food in mindfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish you peace in mind and body, and a strong bodhi mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
